Airport

  • Jul. 21st, 2008 at 9:29 PM

I always forget, with Canada being so close, that I have to wait for people to go through customs when I pick them up from the airport after a trip to Vancouver.  I had a chance to chat with my Mom and Dad while I waited for my Mother in Law to arrive.  They are leaving for Toledo tomorrow morning and sounded so excited to get up there to see Rico, Coco, and Dre.  They are off to Europe after that, and I'm pleased that they still going to go.  My Mom's tumor is growing again (not responding to the treatment that kept it one size for a few years) and she's feeling pretty tired from her chemo.  I can't believe that they are almost 80.  They'll be in London for 6 weeks, with a 2 week cruise around southern Europe (well, Spain and Portugal).

I've been so busy doing a lot of nothing.  Outside of spending time with friends, I don't know how to account for my time.  I feel like I've done fuck all for the baby's impending arrival, even though I seem to think of little else.

The baby is healthy and the pregnancy is finally EASY.  I feel great, if a bit lazy.  I'm only getting sick about twice a week now.  I'm not super exhausted.  My ankles are still there.  My belly is pretty cute.   I'm just happy.  And lazy :)

xoxo

I'm glad for all of that. (except your mom) I hope they enjoy the trip though. I'm glad you're enjoying yourself a bit more lately. :)

Are we gonna get belly pics?

Do you need a baby bath tub? You can have ours if you want it. It is a Fisher Price aquarium tub. We also have two mobiles, one is primary colors and geometric shapes and the other is Fisher Price aquarium with fish and it lights up on the ceiling. If you want either of those, let me know.

OOOH! Thank you for the offer. We have that exact tub already, but I would love the one mobile with the colors and shapes :)

Belly pics soon, promise.

Maybe a meet up soon?

Consider it yours :) I was trying to find a link for it, but it must be last years model!

Yes, I was just telling [info]polarbear that we should do dinner soon. Maybe we can coordinate and make it happen with both of you guys? And anyone else that wants to join us. We need to do earlier type dinners these days as the beebs hit the sack pretty early, so maybe a brunch or an early dinner on a weekend day...

So sorry about your mom. *hugs*

Glad to hear your pregnancy is going so well; we'll have to catch up soon, it's been awhile! :o) I can't wait to see your tummy.

I am sorry to hear about your mom.

I really do want to see your tum-tum and I can't remember how far along you are now I would venture around what 23ish weeks?

You are still having the morning sickies? I'm so sorry, have you had it all along? Or did it kick in around a certain week?

23 weeks :) It seems so far along! But it also seems, in some ways, that I should be closer to 40. Hmmm. I guess it's because I found out so early.

I started getting very ill (i.e. puking more than 1x/day) around week 9. It finally went down to 1x/day or every other day around 19 weeks. Now it's about 2x/week. It is mainly, now anyways, from feeling acid reflux or heartburn. Lots of dairy makes it rear it's ugly head too. A lot of people have it worse, and I never became dehydrated or anything. :) Now it's night time leg cramps, itchy skin from stretching, and never ending growth in the boobs. Better than what is ahead though, from what I hear.

How are you feeling?

See I'm worried about that as my doc said around wwek 9-10 would be when I would start getting morning sick. If that is about the time it happened to you, I guess I'm not out of the woods yet.

I'm feeling real tired, not as much as I was, but still pretty drained. As I already have a bad back, I discovered I can't do much "work" at any given time, or my back suffers terribly. The picnic on Saturday where all I did was stand around, well and some sitting, pooped me to the point that when I got home I had to take a nap - and I don't ever nap.

Basically I'm doing pretty well I think. I'm concerned about my doc telling me I should only gain 10-15 pounds though, apparently because of my starting size. I just don't see how that is even doable. But other than that, I'm excited, and nervous and worried and happy. It really is an emotional roller-coaster.

Have you guys started acquiring all the baby stuff yet?
